Tuition, Fees, Financial Support

The program cost is $2480.40 per semester for a total program cost of $9552.20. SIUE has adopted the optional residency status tuition policy for Missouri residents in graduate school. Under this policy, Missouri residents may enroll for up to six hours per semester and be assessed tuition and fees at in-state rates. This policy does not apply to students enrolling in the School of Dental Medicine.
Financial Support Information—BTBT3
The Back to Basics Transition to Teaching grant will allow up to $5,000 in student support through stipends. BTBT3 will provide stipends to assist students with their transition from work to the classroom. Stipends will be administered at $1,000 for Summer Block; $1,000 for Fall Block; $3,000 for Spring Block (Student Teaching). Additional assistance with other expenses can be    covered through various programs such as the TEACH Grant, Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program, Illinois Minority Teacher Scholarship and more. BTBT3 will lend a laptop/notebook to all         participants requesting one while attending SIUE.
Other Graduate Financial Assistance
Assistantships: Three types of graduate assistantships are available to degree-seeking students:   general, research, and teaching. Stipends vary according to the percentage of appointment and length of service. Assistants are eligible for tuition remission. Assistantships are awarded by       academic departments and other units on campus. Openings are posted in the department, in the Graduate Studies and Research Office at SIUE, and on the SIUE website.
Student Employment, Loans, and Grants: Graduate    students are eligible for student employment and for loans and grants to support their studies.
